Milk and cuddling
It was in the early morning light of 5:45 that I wondered why I ever chose to sleep instead of get up with Adalie. Her, nuzzling my shoulder, staring at the dim lamp on her dresser, making "oh" faces. Me, staring at her, watching intently at what she is doing. Then she starts blowing raspberries and I smile, because she is just so happy. I lay her down to go back to sleep and she looks at me, grins big, grabs her feet and rolls to her side. I try to remove a foot from her grasp to swaddle her again, but she thinks it's a game. So I turn on her sleep sheep and watch her melt into the mattress. She sure makes it hard to leave in the morning.
