What I'm really thinking is that I am so prideful! Lately I've thought a lot about my worth. As in, my time is valuable, please respect it. And, I should be paid more, because I'm smart and good at what I do, when I'm allowed to do it well. "Because you're worth it!" is the message that we (especially women and mothers) are bombarded with these days. The truth is, I'm not worthy. I'm not worthy of any of the many, many blessings in my life. I'm lucky to still have a job through bad economic times. I'm lucky to have been able to support my husband and I while he was still in school. I'm lucky to have a great boss and work for an organization that means something. I'm not nearly grateful enough of the great, great love of my Father.
Prejudice is an equally bad offender. I see this terrible attitude of mine come out more and more. Am I becomming more sinful? Or just more aware of my sin? Better question - does it matter? No!
Sometimes I'm just overwhelmed with all the sin in my life. It reminds me of a recent post I read over on Challies.com. It's about how God persues us despite our sin. That we rebel, and run away, but God is relentless. Thank
