Dear Pete,

I never pictured this. When we met almost 8 years ago I remember thinking how cute you were. With your bleach blonde hair, your big smile, and your funny personality. It doesn't surprise me that months later you stole your first kiss. Ever since that day I've prayed for you and me. Prayed we would honor God and each other. I imagined what it would be like to marry you, and 4 years after we met we did. It was beautiful, and a little too short, but wonderful. We've grown in so many ways since we were 18 & 19. As much as I imagined, I never imagined you as a father. Even if I had, I doubt I could have pictured something as wonderful as what is real and true.

Hearing you talk to Addy, seeing how you love her in your own tender and sweet way. These things are the most beautiful thing to me. And now that I see you as a father, I'll never be able to see you the same as I did before. And if your love for Addy is so big, how much greater can the love our Father be? Unimaginable. 

I loved you before, and more each day.
